We would like to thank those who attended our Question and Answer Session or submitted questions for the event with  councillors, council project officers and consultants from the North Felixstowe Garden Neighbourhood scheme at Felixstowe School in November.

Anonymous Public Survey Results

The North Felixstowe Garden Neighbourhood public consultation held on the 13th August included an anonymous public survey that ran for six weeks in August and September 2024.

Question & Answer Session

We would like to invite everyone to attend a further consultation event about draft proposals for the North Felixstowe Garden Neighbourhood scheme.

Following previous events which have welcomed the views and opinions of Felixstowe residents, this latest session will take place at Felixstowe School on Thursday 7 November, between 5.30pm and 8pm. It will include a 'Question and Answer' session with councillors, council project officers and consultants, plus a further opportunity to view a range of information boards about the proposals.

Funding Secured for Two Felixstowe GP Practices

Felixstowe’s Haven Health Surgery is to receive more than £600,000 in funding towards investment in its facilities to help meet new demand in the town.

Another £61,641.68 will fund the conversion of four rooms at the Grove Medical Centre into clinical accommodation, with a large upstairs office also divided to include a clinical room and telephone consultation area.

Felixstowe Peninsular Housing Completion Data

We are aware that there is a great deal of concern within the local community about the amount of housing that is currently being built and proposed in the Felixstowe Region. We have pulled together housing completion data which is recorded by the Local Planning Authority to help explain what is currently happening in the region.

We are also running an anonymous survey for the next six weeks closing on the 24th of September to allow everyone to comment and make their views known. Please note some questions do refer to the information above and will be worth reviewing before hand.

We look forward to welcoming you all at the Brackenbury Sports Centre on Tuesday 13th August 3pm-8pm. This is an opportunity for everyone to come and see more detail on the emerging masterplan and speak to members of the project team.

Survey Update

East Suffolk Council are undertaking surveys to inform the development of the proposed North Felixstowe Garden Neighbourhood masterplan. This includes a wide range of disciplines including ecology, landscape, heritage/archaeology, noise, air quality and traffic.
The project team understand how important the existing natural assets on the site are to the local community and have provided a brief update for to explain the ecological survey work which has and will be undertaken as part of our work.

North Felixstowe Garden Neighbourhood - early opportunity/meanwhile use workshop

We're planning on holding an online workshop open to the public about Meanwhile Uses for the site on May 13th from 6-7pm.

The ambition for this session is to discuss early opportunities and meanwhile uses for the North Felixstowe Garden Neighbourhood. This is about thinking what types of things we could try to bring forward ahead of the subsequent phases of the masterplan which would benefit the local community and help reflect our priorities.
